Indian captain Rohit Sharma was caught hurling abuse after he inadvertently slipped due to a terrible outfield at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala. Netizens launched a scathing attack on the concerned authorities for sandy pitches that were clearly seen around the inner circle. As if that weren’t enough, there was uneven grass on the turf and rough grass was visible towards the boundary as well.
The veteran cricketer escaped an injury scare after a fielding effort during the game against the New Zealand cricket team. The incident took place during the 10th over of New Zealand’s innings when Rohit Sharma had to slide in such a way in order to prevent a certain boundary. However, he ended up scratching his finger onto the ground in the follow-through.

The Indian captain was literally unhappy with the outfield as he couldn’t control his emotions after hurting his finger to some extent. Soon after injuring himself, he was caught saying a swear word and the video clip of the same has gone viral on social media portals. Fortunately, his injury didn’t turn out to be a serious one as the skipper returned to the field after an over upon taping up his finger.

Talking about the game, Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first on a surface that assisted fast bowlers. Mohammed Shami was the pick of the bowlers for the Indian cricket team as he made a stellar comeback to this edition’s World Cup by taking an impressive five-wicket haul.
