Indian captain Rohit Sharma was caught hurling abuse after he inadvertently slipped due to a terrible outfield at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala. Netizens launched a scathing attack on the concerned authorities for sandy pitches that were clearly seen around the inner circle. As if that weren’t enough, there was uneven grass on the turf and rough grass was visible towards the boundary as well.

The veteran cricketer escaped an injury scare after a fielding effort during the game against the New Zealand cricket team. The incident took place during the 10th over of New Zealand’s innings when Rohit Sharma had to slide in such a way in order to prevent a certain boundary. However, he ended up scratching his finger onto the ground in the follow-through.

Fortunately, his injury didn’t turn out to be a serious one as the skipper returned to the field after an over upon taping up his finger.

On the other side of the coin, New Zealand immensely benefitted from the valuable services of Daryl Mitchell who scored 130 off 127 balls with the help of 9 fours and 5 sixes, which is also his career-best score in One-Day Internationals. Rachin Ravindra also played pretty well as he chipped in with 75 off 87 (6 fours, 1 six). New Zealand were eventually bowled out for 273.
