The Windies captain Kieron Pollard opted to bowl first after winning the toss and the Indian batsmen were up to the task, especially Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant. The opening pair of Rohit and Ishan Kishan couldn’t do much with the bat, but the later batsmen made up for it. For his quickfire 52, Pant was awarded the Man of the Match award and the skipper Rohit Sharma hilariously expresses disbelief which left the netizens in split.

After the fall of first wicket, Kohli came in with an attacking intent as he dealt in boundaries. He was aptly supported by Pant who didn’t miss out on any opportunity to score runs. Kohli fell immediately after scoring a half-century. It was Pant who steered the inning with Iyer from there on. Pant remained unbeaten on 52 in just 28 deliveries and received the MOM award for his performance. The Indian team has bounced back amazingly well after their 2 back-to-back series losses in South Africa. They have won both the ODI and T20I series at home and will play the last match of the home series against West Indies on Sunday. After the completion of the Windies series, they will be up against Sri Lanka for a 3-match T20I series and 2 Test matches.
