Jharkhand batter Saurabh Tiwary was rated very high in his early days as most of the former players and cricket fans believed he will serve Indian cricket for a long time.

However, Saurabh Tiwary has got some limelight now for not so good reasons as he got into a heated altercation with a fan during a Ranji Trophy match.

Saurabh Tiwary is playing for his state team Jharkhand in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2022-23 season. During the game against Services, Tiwary was waiting for his opportunity to bat when one of the fans asked him when he will go to bat. The Jharkhand batter ignored him a couple of times but lost his temper as the fan kept mocking him.

A video has gone viral on the social media in which Saurabh Tiwary can be seen having a verbal banter with the fan near the boundary ropes. The fan can be seen repeatedly making fun of and mocking Tiwary as he commented, “Abe Saurabh, kab jayega batting karne?”

The Jharkhand batter initially showed patience and kept ignoring the fan but couldn’t control his emotions as the fan kept mocking him. He replied, “Ghar jana hain ki nahi. Match dekhne aya hain match dekh.” The argument got even more heated as the fan told Tiwary that he does not know how to play the game. This made Tiwary lose his temper as he charged towards the fan to teach him a lesson.

Despite all the arguments, Tiwary didn’t lose his focus as he went on to score an incredible knock of 165 in the first innings against Services. Courtesy of his brilliant knock, Jharkhand defeated Services quite comfortably by 9 wickets.

Saurabh Tiwary was once considered a future star and his personality resembled India’s former captain MS Dhoni. His aggressive style of batting and ability to hit big sixes caught eyes of the complete cricket fraternity but he couldn’t play more than a handful matches for the Men in Blue due to Team India’s big talent pool and his inconsistent run in the domestic circuit.
