Islamabad United took on Multan Sultans on March 7 in the Pakistan Super League game at the Pindi Club Ground in Rawalpindi. Islamabad United skipper Shadab Khan lost his calm after getting clean bowled by pacer Ihsanullah and uttered some cuss words which were recorded by the stump mic in PSL 2023.

The PSL game between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans was a nail-biting thriller and the intensity was so high that Islamabad United skipper Shadab Khan couldn’t hold on to his emotion after getting dismissed at a crucial moment after scoring 44 runs.

During the 15th over of Islamabad United’s innings, pacer Ihsanullah bowled a quick delivery to Shadab Khan which clicked the 150 kmph mark on the speedometer. Shadab clearly got beaten by the excess pace as the delivery tailed back in to him. He tried driving through the cover region but could only manage an inside edge as the ball crashed onto his stumps.

Shadab Khan couldn’t hold on to his emotions after losing his wicket in a crunch situation of the game and yelled ‘Behn c**d’ into the stump mic. The video of Shadab Khan losing his cool went viral across social media platforms and garnered various reactions from netizens.

One of the social media users commented, ‘Virat Kohli will be proud of Shadab Khan‘ as Virat Kohli had made famous the Ben Stokes expletive in Hindi. Shadab took the long walk back to the pavilion after losing his wicket.

Multan Sultans had posted a mammoth total of 205-5 as their openers Shan Masood and Mohammad Rizwan gave them a scintillating start. Masood went on to score 75 off just 50 deliveries including 12 boundaries. Tim David too chipped in with a quick-fire 60.

In response to the massive total posted by Multan Sultans, Islamabad United’s skipper played a vital knock of 44 runs in just 25 deliveries including 3 fours and 3 sixes. He got enough support from Colin Munro who scored 40 off just 21 deliveries.

After Shadab’s dismissal, it was all-rounder Faheem Ashraf who took on the Multan bowlers and went on to score a half-century in just 26 deliveries including 2 maximums helping his team chase down the total on the second-last delivery of the 20th over as they won their sixth game in the PSL 2023.
