Shahid Afridi & Ahmed Shehzad engage in heated debate

Shahid Afridi & Ahmed Shehzad appeared on Samaa TV and soon the discussion turned towards Shehzad’s absence from the Pakistan team for such a long time. It is to note that Shehzad played under Afridi’s captaincy for the most part of his career and Afridi while talking on the channel, went on to say that Shehzad was neglected because of his support.

As soon as Afridi made this comment, the conversation between Shahid Afridi & Ahmed Shehzad turned into a heated argument. Shehzad was offended by what Afridi said and spoke his heart out on national television. For the uninitiated, Shehzad last played a T20I for his team in the year 2019 and has not been given any chance in any format whatsoever since then.

Shocked by the comment of Afridi supporting him, Shehzad said, “Shahid bhai, listen. I don’t know why you said that. You’ve been an elder brother to me, you can say anything to me. Sometimes, it does hurt me, but you have always been an elder brother to me.” Afridi was not one to be cowed down as he replied, “I want you to score runs, and enjoy your life with your wife and kids.”

The conversation between Shahid Afridi & Ahmed Shehzad went back & forth and turned into an argument. Shehzad complained that how can he score runs if he is not given the opportunities. He even went on to ask Afridi about PSL and whether any franchise is interested in picking him in their team. Shehzad was earlier restricted from participating in a high-performance training camp and the same was conveyed to the media by Kamran Akmal.
