Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer played the best innings of his cricketing career by approaching the game with a lot of intent against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Coming out to bat at No.4, the right-handed batsman was in no mood to play a run-a-ball inning as he launched an exceptional counter-attack from the get-go. He didn’t hesitate to flex his muscles to hammer sixes and fours with relative ease.

The Sri Lankan bowlers tried their maximum best to keep him in check. Nevertheless, the bowlers’ plans were to no avail as Shreyas Iyer looked flawless in his technique as he tormented the bowlers with his fearless brand of cricket. He came under fire for throwing away his wicket in the last few games but he made a stellar rebound against Sri Lanka and drew plaudits for his exceptional innings.
