Shubman Gill gives a stare to Sandeep Sharma

Hardik Pandya, who is leading the Gujarat Titans opted to bat first, but his decision didn’t work in the favour of his team as they could only get 143 runs in their 20 overs. Their first wicket fell in the form of a run-out which was affected in the 3rd over of the Gujarat Titans innings. This run-out turned things intense as Shubman Gill gives a stare to the Punjab Kings bowler.

The incident came in just the third over when Sandeep Sharma was bowling to the opener Gill. The GT opener knocked the first delivery of the over straight to cover and just set off for a single. Rishi Dhawan hit the bulls eye and Shubman Gill looked upset as he thought Sandeep Sharma came in his way. The bowler didn’t actually move in his follow-through and was not at fault, however Shubman Gill gives a stare to him as he got run-out.

The GT batsmen barring Sai Sudharsan didn’t really get going in the match and fell rather cheaply. The target of 144 was always going to be difficult to defend and the Punjab Kings took full advantage of the situation and finished the match in just 16 overs. Shikhar Dhawan led the chase for his team and remained unbeaten on 62 as his team earned two crucial points.
