Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi has blamed the Indian Premier League behind Sri Lankan Players’ refuse to Pakistan tour. Recently, Sri Lanka’s 10 players have refused to tour Pakistan due to security reason. These 10 players are Lasith Malinga, Angelo Mathews, Dinesh Chandimal, Suranga Lakmal, Dimuth Karunaratne, Thisara Perera, Akila Dhananjaya, Dhananjaya de Silva, Kusal Perera and Niroshan Dickwella.

However, some Pakistan cricket experts have given the reason behind their refusal is BCCI’s pressure over the players. And now a video of Pakistan former captain Shahid Afridi has been getting viral over the internet. In the video Afridi has claimed that some Pakistan players had earlier told him that they were threatened against touring Pakistan and play in Pakistan Super League (PSL) by IPL franchises.

Senior Pakistan Journalist SaJ Sadik also quoted on his twitter handle as Afridi saying. “Shahid Afridi “Sri Lankan players are under pressure from IPL franchises. I spoke to SL players last time when there was talk of them coming to Pakistan & playing in PSL. They said they wanted to come, but IPL guys say if you go to Pakistan we won’t give you a contract”

However, Sri Lanka’s Sports Minister Harin Fernando has already cleared that the 10 players have opted this because of the 2009 incident. Despite that, Pakistan is not accepting the truth and continuously blaming India behind the refusal of Sri Lankan Players.
