Suryakumar has a fun moment

Suryakumar Yadav is a hot property in world cricket currently, especially in T20 Cricket where the batsman is displaying his 360-degree batting skills. The right-handed batsman was in his element in team India’s game against Hong Kong where he played a blistering knock of 68. Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir heaped praises on the batsman and Suryakumar had a fun moment with the cricketer.

Suryakumar Yadav won accolades for the way he paced his inning and took the Hong Kong bowlers to the cleaners. Gautam Gambhir is one of the cricketers who was impressed with the exploits of Suryakumar who gave the much-needed boost to a rather dull Indian inning. Gambhir even went on to say that Suryakumar should bat at No.3 for the Indian team with the way he is batting.

In the post-match analysis when Gautam Gambhir was sharing his thoughts on Suryakumar’s batting position, Suryakumar has a fun moment as he hugs Gambhir from the back. Gambhir, Jatin Sapru and Suryakumar all dissolved into laughter after that. Gambhir asked Jatin to tell Suryakumar that the former cricketer backs him to bat at No.3, but Jatin said that the batsman has already made it clear that he can bat wherever his team wants him to.

It is to note that Surykumar Yadav scored 68 runs off just 26 deliveries with an amazing strike rate of 261. His inning was laced with 6 fours and 6 maximums which propelled India to a score of 192. While these are early days to say anything, Gautam Gambhir has made it clear that it will be in the team’s interest if they play Suryakumar at No.3. Virat Kohli has been playing for team India at No.3 for a long period and has done exceptionally well for the team. While only time will tell what transpires in team India’s batting position, replacing Kohli will be a gargantuan task for Suryakumar.
