Watch: Umpire warns KL Rahul for pulling out at the last moment, batter apologizes

The Indian batsman wasn't ready to play the delivery and pulled out just before Rabada was going to leave the ball.

KL Rahul has been in scintillating form ever since he made a comeback in the Test side. The batsman has silenced his critics with his back-to-back brilliant performances. In the ongoing Test series against South Africa, KL is continuing his form and scored a century in the first Test. In the second Test, he played a crucial knock of 50 in the first inning. However, during his stay on the crease, Umpire warns KL Rahul for pulling out at the last moment.

The right-handed batsman is leading the team in the second Test as Virat Kohli pulled out of the game because of an upper back injury. KL won the toss and opted to bat, but the Indian batsmen couldn’t leave an impact like they did in the first game. In the fifth over of the first Indian inning, Umpire warns KL Rahul as he backed out at the last moment of the delivery being bowled.

Umpire warns KL Rahul for late pull-out

Kagiso Rabada was bowling to KL Rahul when the batter pulled out and the Umpire warns KL Rahul. Marais Erasmus told the Indian captain to be a little quicker and KL immediately apologized for the same. KL Rahul went on to score a 50 and became the highest run-scorer for India in the first inning. Team India were bundled up by the Proteas’ bowlers at a below-par score of 202.

In reply to India’s total, South Africa lost their first wicket early but the captain Dean Elgar and Keegan Petersen made sure that they end the day unharmed after the first blow.

The second day is going to be very important for both the teams. The Indian bowlers will look to get early breakthroughs while the South Africa batsmen will look to get a first inning lead. The second day is surely going to be a moving day.
