Team India’s young pace sensation Umran Malik regularly keeps surprising opponent batters with his raw pace and he did the same in the third T20I against New Zealand in Ahmedabad.
Umran Malik cleaned up Michael Bracewell’s stumps with his sheer pace as the bails flew way over the keeper and the slip cordon and landed way over the 30-yard circle.
Umran Malik dismisses Bracewell with his raw pace
Team India’s pace battery looked in some serious rhythm as they rattled through the New Zealand batting lineup as a unit. The Kiwi’s innings found no momentum at all as they were looking to chase a mammoth target of 235 set by Team India’s young batting lineup.
Skipper Hardik Pandya along with left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh started off the proceedings as they kept on asking some difficult questions to New Zealand batters. Young Umran Malik was handed the ball in the fifth over of the innings and he carried on the momentum really well.
The New Zealand batter couldn’t strike the first couple of deliveries bowled by the young pacer and decided to take some charge on the next delivery. Umran bowled a quick back-of-the-length delivery to which Bracewell played a cross-batted hoick and missed it completely.
The ball hit the top of the middle-stump and took the bails flying over keeper Ishan Kishan and slip-fielder Suryakumar Yadav’s heads to land way over the 30-yard circle which amazed the cricket fans. The speedometer showed that the delivery was bowled at a pace of 150 KMPH.
Umran Malik comes into the attack and Michael Bracewell is bowled for 8 runs.

However, before the Kiwi batters it was their bowlers who had a forgetful day in the field as they failed to restrict in-form Shubman Gill who kept on playing his shots throughout the innings. Gill smashed 126 runs off just 63 deliveries with 7 sixes. Rahul Tripathi too chipped in with a quick-fire 44 off just 22 deliveries.
The New Zealand batters looked in some serious trouble as kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. Skipper Hardik Pandya took 4 wickets in his spell while the young pace trio of Umran, Arshdeep and Mavi grabbed 2 wickets each.
