Team India led by Rohit Sharma have advanced to the finals of the Asia Cup 2023 tournament on the back of significant wins over Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super Fours. The Men in Blue notched up a humongous 228-run win over Pakistan before defeating Sri Lanka by 41 runs to make it two wins on the trot. Rightly so, they cruised to the Asia Cup final.

Later on, Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by 2 wickets (DLS method) in the must-win encounter and deservedly advanced to the final.  Meanwhile, a hilarious video clip featuring Virat Kohli has been doing the rounds online. The incident happened midway through the game between India and Sri Lanka. The game saw a disruption due to rain as the players left the field, hoping for the battle to resume.

Meanwhile, the ground staff ensured to give absolutely everything to dry out the field with the help of a super sopper. Virat Kohli was positioned near the boundary line and was facing towards the sight screen but little did he know that he would get stumbled upon by a ground staff who was operating the super sopper. The former Indian skipper was completely taken aback just as when the super sopper came close towards him before he jerked unexpectedly.

The entire incident was caught on camera and it left the netizens in splits. Several netizens came up with hilarious reactions to the video. Talking about the game, Team India posted 213 runs on the board with the help of Rohit Sharma’s half-century. On the other hand, Dunith Wellalage was the pick of the bowlers for the Sri Lankan cricket team as he accounted for 5 dismissals, giving away 40 runs in his quota of 10 overs.

Notably, he also bowled a maiden over. In response to India’s target, Sri Lanka failed to chase down the target as they ended up getting bowled out for 172. Kuldeep Yadav registered 4/43. Sri Lanka will lock horns with Team India in the highly-anticipated final showdown of the continental event on September 17, Sunday. The game will kick off at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
