Watch: Virat Kohli gives David Warner an aggressive send-off after RCB takes a successful review

RCB stopped David Warner storm by taking a successful review which turned out to be game changer.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 27th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. RCB won the match by 16 runs and Dinesh Karthik was named Man Of The Match for his 66 run knock.

Thing got heated up in the match when in the second innings, former RCB skipper, Virat Kohli, who is known for his assertive & agressive on-field behavior did a wild celebration after they took a successful DRS to send back, DC opener, David Warner back to the dugout, who was looking in great form scoring 66 runs.

DC skipper, Rishabh Pant won the toss and decided to bowl first. DC bowlers started off well as they dismissed both the RCB openers, Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat quite early but the RCB ship was stedid by half centuries by Dinesh Karthik and Glenn Maxwell and a quickfire innings by Shahbaz Ahmad. RCB put a grand total of 190 runs with the hopes that the bowling lineup could defend it.

DC struggled after David Warner’s wicket

Despite a big total to chase DC were on the front foot after 11 overs, posting 93/1 with David Warner in the middle batting 66 off 37 balls. Wanindu Hasaranga came to bowl in the 12th over as RCB wanted to break the partnership as they decided to go for a DRS when David Warner missed a switch and the ball crashed onto his pads. After the original decision was reversed Kohli was all pumped up and ran past Warner and momentarily celebrated infront of him prompting a mixed reactions from the netizens.

However, the Capitals dugout gave Warner a warm welcome back. DC seemed to lose the momentum as they failed to chase the score. RCB jumped to third place after their victory with the two new teams above them. On the other hand DC have dropped down to 8th place in the table and this should ring some alarm bells for Rickey Pointing and his coaching staff.

They will be up against inform Punjab Kings in their next match. The’ll have to get back to winning ways to keep their playoff hopes alive. Meanwhile RCB will lock horns against KL Rahul lead Lucknow Super Giants in their next match.
