Two of the strongest contenders of the World Cup have played their last game before the final showdown. In the dead rubber between the two teams, Australia beat India convincingly after posting a mammoth total of 351. While Australia were batting there was one incident when Marnus Labuschagne and Virat Kohli were caught in a funny banter.

The return of Maxwell, Starc and Mitchell Marsh proved to be decisive for the visitors as they defeated India in the last game of the series in some fashion. After winning the toss Pat Cummins opted to bat first on a belter of a wicket to bat on.

The Aussie openers responded to their captain’s decision in a positive way as they were scoring at a rate of 10 runs per over till the 7th over of the game. After reaching to 3rd consecutive fifty Warner went for an outrageous shot which cost him his wicket.

However, the wicket of Warner didn’t put any breaks on Australia’s carnage as Steven Smith and Mitchell Marsh made 137 runs stand after that. Mitchell Marsh then lost his wicket to Kuldeep Yadav falling just 4 runs shot of his Century.

After Marsh’s wicket, Marnus Labuschagne and his idol Steven Smith took on the show. During their partnership, there was one incident when former Indian captain Virat Kohli was seen in a fun mood.

Two of the most expressive characters in the world of cricket were seen together having fun in the hot and humid climate of Rajkot. While Smith and Labuschagne were sipping drinks in the middle Virat Kohli came to them and started joking with Marnus who was also loving it.

Virat Kohli was mocking Marnus in front of him while mimicking his playing style. It was a light element of the game in the very harsh climate to play on. Fans in the crowd also loved how Virat danced to mimic Labuschagne.

Australia beat India by 66 runs

The Aussie team will walk into the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 with their heads high as they defeated the full-strength Indian team by 66 runs. After winning the toss Australia posted a mammoth total of 352 runs on board which put the Indian team under pressure waling into the second innings.

The Indian team started well as captain Rohit Sharma gave India a flying start despite the lost Sundar on 18 runs. Virat and Rohit were dismissed by Maxwell which made Indian shift their gears downwards.

The men in blue found it difficult to chase the target as wickets kept falling at regular intervals and in the end, Australia bundled them out on 286 runs.
