Team India is hosting Australia for a three match long T20 international series, the second game of which was held on September 23 at the Vidarbha Cricket association Stadium, Nagpur.
The match reduced to 8 overs per side due to unsafe outfield– saw India chase 90 runs off 7.2 overs to win the game with 4 balls to spare thanks largely to a Rohit Sharma blinder.
Meanwhile, before the game, an incident occurred that has now drawn all of the attention to Virat Kohli as some ‘RCB, RCB’ chants left the former India skipper unimpressed.
Kohli left upset by RCB chants
The RCB chants are no longer limited to the Chinnaswamy Stadium or the IPL. On several occasions, fans have shouted the franchise’s name in international affairs.
Similar incident occured at Nagpur’s VCAS stadium yesterday when Kohli, Harshal and Chahal were enjoying their time in a hall at the periphery of the ground.
Some supporters near the Royal Challengers Bangalore duo (and former Bangalore spinner Chahal) started loud chants of ‘RCB, RCB’ as the camera focused on Virat Kohli who didn’t seem one bit impressed.
Pointing to national Cricket Logo on his shirt, Kohli laid emphasis on the fact that they were playing for Team India, suggesting them to chant Team India’s name instead. Notably, Harshal also followed the course.

The move from the Delhi-born batter has earned him plaudits from all across the internet. Fans have hailed Virat Kohli for respecting the nation even if it came at the cost of neglecting RCB supporters.
Coming back to the match, the RCB duo in the clip– namely Virat Kohli (11 off 6) & Harshal Patel (32 off 2 overs) had off days the field.
CSK and Dhoni chants have also been heard in the middle of an international game far too often.
To put it in short, Indian cricket fans are unpredictable at times. Senseless, even.
