Watch: Virat Kohli plays an imaginary 360° shot as crowd chants AB de Villiers’ name

The Bangalore crowd went berserk on many occasions as Virat Kohli kept reacting to their chants during the 2nd innings.

Ex RCB captain, Virat Kohli, and the South African veteran AB de Villiers share a great bond with each other as is known to all. The RCB fans yet again got a glimpse of this bond between the two greats as Virat Kohli reacted to the fans’ chants of “ABD! ABD!”. India is currently hosting the 2nd test of the series against Srilanka at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and that’s where the incident happened.

It happened during the 2nd innings when the Indian side was fielding. Virat Kohli was standing at the slips with captain Rohit Sharma when the fans started chanting AB de Villiers’s name. Virat was seen indicating towards the crowd that he is hearing what they were chanting. And very soon he imitated playing an imaginary 360° shot alike AB de Villiers. He played the iconic switch hit and the crowd went berserk.

AB de Villiers and Kohli might reunite soon

Ab de Villiers has already announced his retirement from all cricket but the friendship the duo had developed at RCB still remains intact as it is evident from the incident. According to the reports, RCB will be appointing de Villiers as the mentor which means both Kohli and ABD might be seen together in the RCB camp soon. However, a lot of things have changed in the Bangalore side as Kohli has stepped down as the captain. He will only play as a specialist batsman from the upcoming season.

Talking about the ongoing Test between India and SriLanka, the hosts have managed to do well on the tricky track. On a turning pitch where it looked tough for the batsmen to survive, the Indian batsmen posted an impressive total of 252 runs. The Indian bowlers responded well as they bundled out the Srilankan side for just 109 runs. Currently, India has taken the lead past 300 on the loss of 4 wickets.
