Team India completed an ODI series win against England with the victory in the third and the series-deciding match which was played at Old Trafford. Though there were some hiccups, the Indian team overcame the challenges and went on to receive the trophy after defeating the English team by 5 wickets. However, the fun didn’t end there, there was an interesting incident after the match as Virat Kohli & Rishabh Pant gifted a champagne bottle to Ravi Shastri.

The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma chose to bowl first and the bowlers once again proved their captain right as they picked up three crucial wickets in the first powerplay. The duo of Moeen Ali and Jos Buttler looked dangerous for a while but Ravindra Jadeja got rid of Ali in his very first over. England kept losing wickets at regular intervals from there onwards and could only reach a sub-par total of 259, which proved to be quite easy in the end for the Indian team.

After losing Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, the duo of Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant came to the rescue of their team. They both were involved in a 133-run partnership and Pant was elected as the ‘Player of the Match’ for his first and match-winning century in the 50-over game. There was a sweet gesture shown by him after the match as Virat Kohli & Rishabh Pant gifts a champagne bottle to Ravi Shastri.

The former head coach of India, Ravi Shastri was in the English commentary box throughout the match and congratulated Rishabh Pant later for his brilliant performance. In the video that’s going viral on the internet, Pant is seen gifting the champagne bottle to Ravi Shastri who is quite popular amongst the fans for his drinking habits. It is to note that Rishabh Pant received the champagne bottle as a prize for being the ‘Player of the Match’.
