Virat Kohli gets furious after KS Bharat refused him for a single

Indian batters came up with an impressive performance after the Australian side posted a mammoth total of 480 runs in the first innings of the fourth test in Ahmedabad. After the dismissal of Indian opener Shubman Gill who scored a brilliant ton, Virat Kohli anchored the Indian innings.

Virat showed brilliant defense against the Aussie bowlers and put on a price tag to his wicket as he didn’t play any flamboyant shots during his innings. But in the 109th over of the game, Kohli looked for a quick single which was refused by wicketkeeper batter KS Bharat as the confusion between the two batters almost led to Kohli being run out.

While Virat Kohli safely returned to his crease in time, he looked furious with KS Bharat. The star batter gave a death stare to Bharat and yelled at him for refusing an easy single.

Virat was batting on 67 when the incident took place and looked really unimpressed with KS Bharat as he is eyeing a big score after Australia posted massive first-innings total. The former skipper hasn’t scored a test hundred for more than three years and is looking set to hit one in the Ahmedabad test.

Team India were placed at 362-4 at the lunch break on Day 4 trailing by 118 runs in the first innings. Virat Kohli was unbeaten at 88 and KS Bharat at 25 at the end of the first session. Earlier, Shubman Gill’s brilliant knock of 128 and Cheteshwar Pujara’s 42 helped the Men in Blue in creating the foundation for a big first inning total.

On the other hand, Australian pacers Mitchell Starc and Cameron Green have remained wicketless. The fourth and final test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is crucial for the Indian team as they are looking to qualify for the World Test Championship final in June while the Australian side has already booked their slot for the WTC final.
