‘Sachin Sachin’ chants from the Wankhede Stadium in the ongoing Test match between India and New Zealand stole the show. As Shubman Gill hammered a short delivery for a four in the 37th over of the innings, the energetic crowd was quick to applaud the batsmen with a huge cheer. Soon after, the fans were heard chanting ‘Sachin Sachin’ with the Wankhede Stadium being the home ground of the legendary batsman.

Notably, the incident is being linked to rumors of Shubman and Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara Tendulkar dating each other. However, we do not have an official word on this from either of them.

Shubman Gill has been labelled as the next big thing in Indian cricket and we yet again witnessed the glimpses of the same in the 2nd Test match against New Zealand. Scoring 44 and 47 runs in the 1st and 2nd innings respectively, the youngster scored crucial runs for his side but failed to convert the starts into triple figures.

India on the cusp of a huge win

Talking about the ongoing Test match, India dominated in all the phases. In both the innings, the hosts were decimated and rattled by the all-round game of the Indian side. Apart from Ajaz Patel’s 10-fer in the 1st innings, they do not have much to take away.

At the time of writing, New Zealand need 426 runs to win with 7 wickets in hand. The task is humongous and their victory is highly improbable. But for India, they do not have much work to do. Their spinners are doing a fine job and are expected to take the remaining 7 wickets easily.
