During the drinks break, Chahal who entered the field as drinksman tried to tease Umpire.

Team India faced South Africa in a crucial super-12 stage game at the Perth Stadium. Both the in-form teams are looking to seize the top position in the Group-2 of the T20 World Cup.

The Indian skipper won the toss and elected to bat first in the crunch game on a bouncy Perth wicket but were in a spot of bother as they didn’t get a quick start as expected by the openers. KL Rahul Rahul played the first over maiden against Wayne Parnell.

The situation was really tensed when Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal did something which left everyone in splits on the field.

Wayne Parnell kept bowling the hard lengths in his second over as well. On the fifth delivery of Parnell’s second over KL Rahul shuffled across to play a flick but missed the shot.

The ball hitted the inside part of Rahul’s knee as he seemed in some serious pain. The physio was called on the field as the Indian opener needed some treatment. The physio was accompanied by Rishabh Pant and Yuzvendra Chahal both of whom brought drinks for Indian batters.

While the physio was busy treating Rahul’s injury, Yuzvendra Chahal jokingly tried to hit the on-field Umpire in the groin and had a light conversation as he made fun with the Umpire.

Yuzvendra Chahal, till now is warming the bench in this World Cup as the Indian Team have preferred off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel in the first game against Pakistan while Ashwin was the only front line spinner against South Africa as Deepak Hooda replaced Axar Patel.

Team India were in a tensed situation in this crunch game against the Proteas as they were placed on 60-5 at the end of 10 overs. None of the top order batters apart from Suryakumar Yadav could make an impact as Lungi Ngidi baffled the Indian Top order and grabbed 4 wickets including Rahul, Rohit and Kohli.

Suryakumar Yadav single-handedly attacked the African bowlers as he scored an unbelievable knock of 68 runs off just 40 deliveries and took the Indian Team to a respectable total of 133 runs at the end of 20 overs.
