Marnus Labuschagne is a pivotal figure in Australia’s batting lineup in Test cricket. Unleashing the beast within him in the 2019 Ashes, Marnus Labuschagne has come very far in the International arena since then.
Playing at no.3 for his side, Marnus has performed prolifically in the ongoing Ashes. He has already scored fifty in the last game and is a few runs short of a hundred in the first innings of the second Test match. As the English bowlers failed to go past Marnus’ tight defence early on, Australia managed to come out of a tough situation.
The no.3 ranked Test batsman score runs in abundance but what makes him even more special is his funny on-field actions. Today was no different as Labuschagne again displayed his energetic and funny side.
England all-rounder Ben Stokes resorted to the short bowling ploy against which Marnus looked very comfortable. Ducking a delivery with ease, he shouted “Well Played Marnus” as soon as the ball went past him. As Australia was going through a hard time then, Marnus praised himself for being watchful.
