The warm-up games of the ICC ODI World Cup are coming to a close today, on October 3. All the ten participating teams have been involved in the practice games in a bid to get accustomed to the conditions in India. The 10 teams that will be taking part in the World Cup are India, Australia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, New Zealand, South Africa, England, Afghanistan and the Netherlands.
West Indies failed to make it to the World Cup for the first time in their history, in what was a major upset. The ICC ODI World Cup is just a couple of days away from the kick-off. Meanwhile, a video clip featuring the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary, Jay Shah’s batting has started doing the rounds on the internet. The video clip begins with Jay Shah holding the classic SG willow and waiting for the deliveries to come towards him.
Jay Shah’s batting stance leaves the fans in splits
As the deliveries came towards him, he nonchalantly nudged them down the ground and some of the fans were taken aback by his batting stance. While some of the users trolled him. One of the social media users shared the video clip on social media while also penning his thoughts upon taking a glimpse at Jay Shah’s batting stance. He specifically highlighted Jay Shah’s back lift and the flow of the bat reminded him of Yuvraj Singh.
I loved his batting stance, look at his bat’s back lift, his flow of the bat reminds me of yuvi.
Look at his foot work, the way he is shuffling to get in the line of ball. Anyone can confuse him with Sachin Tendulkar.
Amazing stuff Jay shah.pic.twitter.com/vx77QI3nha

Meanwhile, a social media user wrote, “I could literally see the ground air thumping his front thigh after every shot he played much reminiscent of what Shikhar Dhawan used to do after every successful inning.” The other user wrote, “He is heading BCCI for his this kind of superb batting skills. He scored so many centuries in domestic cricket. Because of the UPA Government’s bias against his father, he was not selected for the national team. Now his father is HM so he is BCCI boss.”
