Rajasthan Royals took on Sunrisers Hyderabad in their first game of the IPL 2023 edition on April 2. SRH stand-in skipper Bhuvneshwar Kumar won the toss and elected to bowl first at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

However, his decision didn’t go well for the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise as Rajasthan Royals’ batters put on a mammoth total of 203-5 in their 20 overs. After putting on a huge total, the Rajasthan Royals’ players looked quite confident of winning the game.

During the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s innings, RR batters Shimron Hetmyer and Donovan Ferreira were seen taking the bottle flip challenge which is in trend these days. Both Hetmyer and Ferreira missed out on the first couple of attempts after which Hetmyer finally got success on the third attempt.

While the bottle flip challenge video went viral on social media platforms, it was the comments made by some netizens that grabbed cricket fans’ attention. An Instagram user commented, “Shows how serious is an opponent when the opposite side is SRH.”

Fans’ Reactions

The Rajasthan Royals’ players looked quite casual as the game was a pretty much one-sided affair. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s batting lineup failed terribly as none of their batters could score big against the RR side as they fell short by 72 runs in the opening game against Rajasthan Royals.
