India kicked off the year 2024 by claiming a historic Test win in Cape Town. Following the win, the entire Indian squad, along with the team’s support staff, gathered for a group photo. Meanwhile, a female member was spotted in the group photo, and many are unaware of her role in the men’s team staff.

Rajal Arora, the Only Female in India Men’s Cricket Team’s Support Staff

Her name is Raj Laxmi Arora, and she holds an important role in the staff. Raj began her career as a journalist after obtaining her degree from Pune’s Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communications. She joined BCCI in 2015 as a social media manager and she now leads the Indian men’s team’s social media team as a senior producer.

In addition to her role in the staff, Raj Laxmi Arora serves as the head of the internal complaint committee in BCCI, overseeing complaints of players’ misbehavior. She has been fond of sports since childhood as she used to play Basketball and shooting games and represented her school, Riverdale School in Pune. She is nicknamed as Rajal in the Indian team.

She is active on social media, with her Instagram handle ‘Rajal Arora’ boasting over 64 thousand followers. Her Instagram posts suggest that she has created a good bond with Indian players such as KL Rahul, Dinesh Karthik, and Ishant Sharma.

While Rajal Arora’s salary with BCCI remains undisclosed, it is known that support staff members, on average, earn one crore annually. The Head Coach receives the highest salary, earning 10 crores annually.
