While Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians has been the most successful franchise in the history of IPL, the last two seasons have been terrible for their team. Mumbai Indians also lost their first IPL 2023 game against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 2.

Mumbai Indians picked wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan for a massive INR 15.25 crore in the IPL 2022 mega auction. However, he couldn’t deliver as per his potential in the previous edition of IPL and was dismissed cheaply in the first game of IPL 2023 as well.

To further strengthen their side, Mumbai Indians bought Australian all-rounder Cameron Green for a whopping INR 17.5 crore. Cameron Green too failed to impress in their opening game of IPL 2023. The failure of their expensive players didn’t go well with their fans.

A few social media users trolled Mumbai Indians saying that the franchise is trying to recover their losses from the auction by demanding an exorbitant price for a normal gaming chair named ‘World’s First Mumbai Indians Chair’.
