West Indies and Bangladesh are set to square off in a three-match T20I series in the Caribbean with the first game scheduled at Dominica. In this article, we will be previewing the match by analyzing the pitch report, T20 records, and weather predictions for the clash at Windsor Park, Roseau, Dominica.
Team forms
The Bangladeshi visitors would still be reeling from the embarrassing performance they put up in the test series leading upto the T20Is. The red-ball team has some serious rebuilding work to do under the leadership of Shakib al Hasan, who himself seems to be excessively overburdened with his cricket schedule. Having said that, a change in format could just be the stimuli that motivates the Bangladeshi Tigers to perform well and live up to their promise.
Nurul Hasan and Liton Das looked in decent touch in the two test matches, and much of Bangladesh’s prowess will depend on how these two perform. Besides them, the usual suspects in captain Mahmadullah, Shakib, and Mustafizur Rahman- who’s coming at the back of a good IPL season- will have big roles to play should the men in green-and-red desire to clinch yet another away series win in the Caribbean.
West Indies will have quite a few personnel changes in their squad themselves. For one, this series will officially mark the starting of Nicholas Pooran’s tenure as the T20I team’s full-time captain. But in light of the T20 World Cup that will be played in Australia later this year, the West Indies management has decided to groom some young blood in promising players like Obed McCoy, Alzarri Joseph, Devon Thomas, Shahmarh Brooks, and Keemo Paul.
Make no mistake- this is a fairly inexperienced West Indies side- and with all the senior campaigners present in the opposition camp, one wouldn’t be wrong to undersell the hosts. But this team is stocked with game changers, all of whom are more than capable of turning the tide of the match in the span of a few balls.

Windsor Park, Roseau, Dominica Pitch Report
In the limited number of games that have been played at this venue, pacers who bowl in the powerplay and swing the ball have been most successful. So far, the ground has been a somewhat low-scoring venue, but that could easily change in the coming games.
