Rohit Sharma made a crucial partnership for the 6th wicket with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja after Indian team lost the wickets of Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara and Suryakumar Yadav in quick succession. The partnership between the two batters made sure that the Indian team had an upper hand during the second day of the first test.

During the 77th over of the Indian innings, Ravindra Jadeja took a single off Marnus Labuschagne’s second delivery and started looking for a second run which was denied by skipper Rohit Sharma as the ball was fielded by Steve Smith in the fine leg region.

While refusing for the second run, Rohit Sharma was heard saying to Jadeja,“Yeh pagal hai thoda, sach me” (He’s a little mad, for real).

The Indian skipper was quite aware of Steve Smith’s fielding and throwing skills and didn’t want to risk his wicket for just one run. Rohit Sharma’s hilarious comment was caught on the stumps mic after which it went viral across social media platforms.
