Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has made quick work of the rumours claiming that there is an impending divorce between him and his 25-year-old other-half Dhanashree Verma.
The duo got married to each other about 20 months ago- on 22 December 2020 to be exact. Time and time again, they have openly supported each other in their respective professional careers.
Chahal requests fans NOT to believe DIVORCE rumours
Two days ago, the cunning spinner had taken to Instagram to upload a story that read, “New Life Loading,” soon after which the netizens had started speculating if Chahal and Dhanashree were expecting their first child.
However, extremely soon, the rumours took a heinous turn after some people coupled the incident with Dhanashree removing the surname ‘Chahal’ from her Instagram name and turned it into a signal for a possible divorce between Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma.
Even reputed media houses had jumped on the bandwagon without checking with Yuzvendra Chahal or Dhanashree if the divorce rumours carried any weight at all.
Nonetheless, the 32-year-old has been fairly fast to settle the frenzy down before it spirals further out of control.
Through his Instagram handle @yuzi_chahal23, Yuzvendra Chahal has squashed all the divorce rumours (between him and Dhanashree), asking fans not to believe in them at all.
Chahal’s IG story, uploaded at around 5:30 PM today (August 18) reads, “A humble request to you all to not believe in any sort of rumours pertaining to our relationship. Kindly, put an end to it. Love and Light everyone”.
In the last 48 hours, the insensitive tittle-tattle had spread like wildfire and the happily-married couple was thrown under the sledgehammer only so the media could rake in some ‘revenue’ and fans could get their daily dose of ‘entertainment’.
Sadly, some very distasteful comments were made at Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife Dhanashree as sans any proof, she was blamed to have used Chahal as a means to an end.
Regardless, with Yuzvendra Chahal deciding to man up and squash the reports of divorce between him and Dhanashree Verma, all the unnecessary drama should reach an end.
