PAK vs BAN match of November 6 saw a howler of a decision go in Pakistan’s favour as BAN skipper Shakib al Hasan was wrongly adjudged LBW during the game.
Shakib was struck on the pad off a Shadab Khan leg-spinner and was declared out during the 11th over. However, the all-rounder felt he had edged the ball and immediately took a DRS to challenge the on-field umpire’s decision.

In the replays played during the DRS (Decision Review System), a clear spike appeared on the Ultra Edge at the moment the ball was next to Shakib’s bat.
There was a clear gap between the bat and the ground and the willow’s shadow was cast the pitch attested the same, making it clear the spike came from contact between the bat and the ball. Regardless, 3rd umpire Langton Rusere made the on-field decision stay as it is and displayed out on the big screen.
There appears to be a clear inside edge for Shakib.

Shakib Al Hasan made his displeasure known at the joke of a decision from the 3rd umpire before leaving the ground.
Following the dismissal of their captain and all-rounder, the Bangladesh Cricket Fans were left frustrated and participated in a large-scale outrage on Twitter, declaring ICC an equivalent of PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board). They also accused the umpires of being bought by Pakistan.

Notably, the ongoing PAK vs BAN match is a virtual quarter-final after the Netherlands beat SA by 13 runs earlier in the day. The side that wins the game will be one of four sides to play the semi-finals of the T20 WC 2022.
Bangladesh could not recover from the controversial dismissal of Shakib Al Hasan and could only score 127 runs off their allotted 20 overs. Pakistan in reply stands at safe shores and unless Mustafizur and Taskin bowl really well in the remaining overs, Pakistan is all but through to the semis.
