The home side was batting first on a tough wicket to bat on. LSG was 25/2 after the completion of 6 overs as the ball was spinning a bit like usual in Lucknow.
Rohit Sharma brought his main man of the season Piyush Chawla into the attack considering the amount of stiffness the surface was offering. The leg spinner straight away dealt a blow as he nicked off the LSG wicketkeeper Quinton De Kock.
