The International Cricket Council (ICC) unveiled the Cricket World Cup 2023 official anthem today, September 20, Wednesday. The video clip stars Ranveer Singh who can be seen performing electrifying dance moves. The official anthem by the name of “Dil Jashn Bole” went viral in no time on social media. While some liked the visuals, music and other special effects, others didn’t like the anthem one bit.
Pritam, Nakash Aziz, Sreerama Chandra, Amit Mishra, Jonita Gandhi, AKASA and Charan put in effort to sing the song while Pritam composed it. However, a certain section of the fans launched a scathing attack on the anthem as they felt that it was more like a typical Bollywood song than a sports anthem. The majority of the fans took to their social media portals to express their views.
Fans criticize the official cricket anthem for Cricket World Cup 2023
Some fans didn’t hesitate to call it one of the worst anthems of any sport. The fans also expressed that there was literally no footage of the previous World Cup’s best moments, while also adding that the anthem feels more like an Indian dance promo. For the record, the official cricket anthem for the mega event is a collaboration between Bollywood star Ranveer Singh and renowned Bollywood composer Pritam.

Cricket World Cup 2023 Anthem
This looks like a personal promotion for influencers. No footage from previous World Cups. No sports or competitive feels. More like a Dance India Dance promo.pic.twitter.com/nsIiqWivvu

More like a typical Bollywood song than a sports anthem. Boring lyrics followed by lack of festival and cultural elements. The relevance is missing.
De Ghuma ke was popular because the lyrics were inspired from street cricket , whom South Asians were able to associate with. https://t.co/6so8AFmJLI
