2011-13 Orange & Purple Cap Holders

2011 (Chris Gayle & Lasith Malinga): The list follows two of the greatest T20 players who will be playing key roles for their respective sides in IPL 2020 – Chris Gayle and Lasith Malinga. Both have got immense success playing in the league. They have bagged some of the big records in their names. Malinga is currently the highest wicket-taker in IPL history while Gayle stands at the 6th position in leading run-scorers’ list. The destructive opener has hit most sixes in the history of Indian Premier League.

But in 2016, RCB skipper Virat Kohli made this difficult record even more difficult. Virat Kohli was having the best form of his life in 2016. He smashed 4 centuries in the season and ended the IPL with 973 runs, which put him at the top of the record most runs in a single IPL season so far till 2020.
