After months of negotiation, Asian Cricket Council has finally taken the decision on the upcoming Asia Cup. The governing body of Cricket in Asia has accepted PCB’s hybrid model and the tournament will see Pakistan hosting the first 4 games while the remaining 9 games will be played in Sri Lanka. ACC Asia Cup 2023 Venue
The first 4 matches of Asia Cup 2023 are scheduled to play in Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. While, the Sri Lanka leg will be hosted by Colombo, Pallekele, and Hambantota grounds.
Asia Cup 2023 Schedule
Except India, the other 4 teams will tour Pakistan for the first 4 group games. India’s two group matches against Pakistan and Nepal will be played in Sri Lanka. The first match of the tournament will take place on August 31st while the final to be played on September 17. However, the dates of the games are yet tp be announced but it is being reported that Pakistan vs Nepal will be the opening match of the tournament.
Group Stage: Pakistan, India and Nepal are in the 1st group while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have been drawn into the 2nd group. During the group stage, each team will play 2 matches and the top 2 teams from both groups will qualify for the Super 4 stage.
Super 4: Here each team will play 3 games and the top teams of the table will play the final.Â

Asia Cup 2023 Squad News
India Asia Cup Squad News: The squads for all the teams are yet to be announced. So far we know that the Team India squad for Asia Cup 2023 will be led by Rohit Sharma. KL Rahul is expected to make his return with the tournament. Likes of Shreyas Iyer and Jasprit Bumrah are also available for the selection.
