Rajasthan Royals took on Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2023 game on April 16 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. During the Rajasthan Royals’ innings, Gujarat Titans’ skipper Hardik Pandya tried sledging Rajasthan Royals’ captain Sanju Samson which didn’t go well with cricket fans as they shared their thoughts on Twitter.
Gujarat Titans posted a competitive total of 177-7 in their 20 overs. In response to the total set by GT side, Rajasthan Royals had a terrible start as they lost both their openers in quick succession. Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed after scoring just 1 run while Buttler went for a duck.

After the dismissal of Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson came in to join Devdutt Padikkal as both batters looked to anchor the innings. Mohammed Shami was bowling the 5th over of the Rajasthan Royals’ innings and was making things tougher for the two batters.
While Mohammed Shami was returning to his bowling mark, Hardik Pandya came close to Sanju Samson and spoke a few words in order to make his lose his composure. However, the Rajasthan Royals’ skipper remained quiet in response to Hardik’s sledging.

Sanju Samson eventually responded with his bat and played a scintillating knock of 60 runs off just 32 deliveries including 3 fours and 6 maximums. Till the 12th over Gujarat Titans were completely dominating the game but Samson changed the complexion of the game by hitting three consecutive sixes against Rashid Khan.
Hardik Pandya’s sledging against Sanju Samson didn’t go well with the cricket fans as most of them criticized the GT skipper on Twitter. On of the Twitter user wrote, “Action speaks louder than voice. Hardik Pandya tried to sledge Sanju Samson and rest is history. Meanwhile, Sanju Samson’s breathtaking knock allowed his team to chase down the total with 4 balls to spare. Apart from him, Shimron Hetmyer too played a crucial knock of 56 runs in just 26 deliveries while Ashwin and Dhruv Jurel too chipped in with the bat.

After the victory in the RR vs GT game, Rajasthan Royals’ are now placed at the top of the IPL 2023 points table. They have now won 4 out of their 5 games in IPL 2023 earning 8 points and have a healthy Net Run Rate of +1.3.
