Mumbai City FC may get drawn with Al Nassr, Al Hilal, or Al Ittihad
The AFC Champions League 2023-24 season will feature 40 teams, split into West and East zones, each with 20 teams. During the draw, the West Zone will form 5 groups of 4 teams, just as the East Zone will do. Mumbai City FC, representing India, is in pot 3 of the West Zone, while Al Nassr secured a spot in pot 4 with a win yesterday. Notably, Neymar’s Al Hilal Neymar, and Al Ittihad of Karim Benzema, are in pot 1 of the West Zone.
There is a high possibility that Mumbai City FC can get drawn with Al Nassr, Al Hilal, or Al Ittihad as each group will feature one club from each pot. If this happens then it will be a monumental moment for Indian football as India will get a chance to welcome world-class players.
AFC Champions League Draw 2023 Date and Time
The group stage draw for ACL 2023-24 is scheduled to take place on August 24. AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will host the event at 4:00 PM. This means in India, the AFC Champions League group stage draw will commence at 1:30 PM.
