The Al Amerat Cricket ground is currently hosting the ACC Asia Cup Qualifiers 2022. Four sides, namely- Singapore, Hong Kong, UAE, and Kuwait are competing in the Qualifiers for a Group A spot in the upcoming Asia Cup. Three of a total of 6 qualifier games have already been played and the remaining 3 will decide the team that will join the two heavyweights, India and Pakistan, in Group A. We will be discussing the Pitch report and the T20 Records of the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in this article.
So far in the qualifiers, Hong Kong and Kuwait have won one match each. The Kuwait side has apparently benefited from their adaptability to the Al Amerat’s conditions as they’ve managed to defeat the favourites, UAE. Kuwait has recently won a T20 series 4-1 against Bahrain where all the matches were played at the Al Amerat Cricket ground, hence, they are used to the surface. The UAE side though lost their first match against Kuwait, they thrashed Singapore by a margin of 47 runs in the very next match and gained the top spot in the points table owing to their healthy net run rate. The Singapore side has already lost 2 games and is out of the race for the Asia Cup 2022.

Al Amerat Cricket Ground Pitch Report
The Al Amerat Cricket Ground has a batting-friendly surface that gets even better to bat on as the game progresses. The pitch will offer some assistance to the pacers while it is fresh. Hence, also keeping in mind the fact that chasing here is comparatively easier than defending a total, any side that wins the toss would be looking to bowl first. The middle overs will be crucial as the spinners would be the most effective during that period.
Al Amerat Weather Forecast
The skies would remain partly cloudy over the next two days in Al Amerat. However, there is no forecast for rain throughout this week. Hence, the Asia Cup Qualifiers would remain unaffected by the weather.
