Arsenal Football Club (AFC) have been a bit busy sweating it out in the pre-season friendlies. The Gunners have played two games against FC Nürnberg and MLS Stars so far. Arsenal’s first fixture against the German opposition ended in a pulsating 1-1 draw. However, the Arsenal vs MLS All-Stars turned out to be merely one-sided as Mikel Arteta’s side dominated the game with ease. They came out on top much to MLS All-Stars’ annoyance.
The Gunners absolutely tore the opposition’s defence apart throughout the game. Mikel Arteta’s boys pressed the game a bit high, dictated the terms, channelized the aggression in the right manner and got the result they wanted. Rightly so, they won the game by a huge margin wherein they thrashed Wayne Rooney’s MLS All-Stars by 5-0 at Audi Field Stadium in Washington D.C.
Notably, this staggering result is also the best performance by a European team against MLS All-Stars. Moreover, there was nothing much the MLS All-Stars’ players could do as Arsenal gave them a run for their money in all facets of the game. Arsenal opened their account in the fifth minute, courtesy of Gabriel Jesus’ stunning chip.
Gabriel Jesus weaves magic with his right foot in Arsenal vs MLS All-Stars game
Bukayo Saka was causing problems for the opposition early on in the game and in the process, he set up a perfect assist to Gabriel Jesus in the fifth minute of the game. Meanwhile, the Brazilian weaved the magic with his right foot by nonchalantly chipping in towards the left side of the goal post. The ball beat the goalkeeper and hit the woodwork before eventually crossing the goal line.

Jorginho converted a penalty in the 47th minute before Gabriel Martinelli scored a superb goal. Arsenal’s new signing, Kai Havertz couldn’t be any happier as he opened his account for Arsenal by putting one past the goalie in the 89th minute as Arsenal ended the game on a high. The Gunners will lock horns with Manchester United in the upcoming friendly fixture at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on July 23.
