Western Australia defeated South Australia in the final of the Marsh One-Day Cup final at the WACA Ground in Perth on March 8. Skipper Ashton Turner’s daughter Billie stole the show during the victory photoshoot after which Turner made her hide behind the board to keep her out of the pictures.

Captain of Western Australia, Ashton Turner was called in the post-match presentation ceremony where he discussed about his team’s prolific performance in the Marsh Cup. Just when Turner was sharing his thoughts, his five-year-old daughter Billie made a sudden appearance.
Billie looked delighted while looking at the beautiful Marsh Cup trophy and started admiring her reflection in it. After the discussion with the broadcaster, Turner went towards his team who were waiting for him for the victory photoshoot.
Turner’s daughter Billie made a surprise appearance during the victory photoshoot as well where the Western Australia skipper instead of shooing her away, decided to hide her under the table and away from the cameras and let his team get all the attention from cricket fans.

Meanwhile, Ashton Turner’s Western Australia defeated Jake Lehmann’s South Australia by 181 runs as they claimed their 16th title. Western Australia posted a record-equalling target of 7/387 equalling their own one-day domestic record.
Western Australia batter Josh Inglis scored 138 runs off 110 balls whereas Cameron Bancroft amassed 90 runs off 112 balls to help their side post a mammoth total of 387 runs in 50 overs at the WACA Ground in Perth.

In response to the massive target, South Australia got a good start as their openers Kelvin Smith and Henry Hunt formed a 84-run partnership. Despite getting the start, the South Australian batting lineup crumbled in the pressure game as they were bowled out at a total of 206 runs. Left-arm spinner Ashton Agar took a vital five-wicket haul to help his side in clinching the major victory by 181 runs.
