Drama erupt during the ZIM vs BAN match of the 2022 T20 World Cup as the last ball of the game had to be re-bowled for a bizarre reason.
Bangladesh players had already celebrated their win and moved to the dressing room but had to be called back onto the ground after umpires decided to recheck if the ultimate ball of the game was legal or not.

Bangladesh had to defend 16 runs off the last over and the ball was given to off-break spinner Mossadek Hossain. The equation came down to 5 runs off one ball after 2 wickets came off the first 5 deliveries.
Muzarabani tred out to complete the task at hand. The Zimbabwean side needed a maximum for a win and at least a four for a Super Over. The batsman stepped out of the crease to go big but missed the ball and got stumped out off the last ball of the BAN vs ZIM match.
The Bangladeshi side was already done with their celebrations when the third umpire deemed the delivery illegal (a no-ball) due to a rare mistake from the wicketkeeper. Notably, Nurul Hasan had collected the ball in front of the stumps (something that is illegal by the rule books).

Hence, the players had to come back to the field and the ball had to be bowled once again.
To the relief of Bangladesh though, the result of the BAN vs ZIM match was not influenced even after all the last ball drama that evaporated on the field as Muzarabani again failed to hit the ball.

Craig Ervine’s side were favorites, needing 26 off the last 12 balls with 2 set batters at the crease. However, a suicidal run-out from Williams (64 off 42) and a needless single on the first ball of the last over from Ryan Burl (27* off 25) helped Shakin Al Hasan’s side to come out trumps.
Batting first, Bangladesh had earlier put 150 runs on the board on the back of an incredible 71-run knock from Najmul Hossain Shanto.
