On Friday, BCCI unveiled the Indian cricket team’s new ODI jersey. This jersey has been designed by Team India’s kit sponsor, Adidas. During an event, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, along with India Women’s Team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, unveiled the jersey. The jersey features a sky-blue color with India’s tricolor stripes visible on the shoulders. It gives off a vibe reminiscent of India’s jerseys from 2011 to 2014, which also had a similar sky-blue color combination.

At the unveiling event, Harmanpreet Kaur proudly showcased her iconic No. 23 jersey. Expressing her admiration for the new design, she said, “It’s an honor to unveil the new jersey today. I’m thrilled that we’ll be the first to wear it against the West Indies team. I absolutely love the design—the new colors add a special charm. It’s exciting to have a dedicated ODI jersey.”

This jersey will be worn for the first time by the Indian Women’s Team when they play against the West Indies. The West Indies Women’s Team will tour India in December, where they will play 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs. However, before this, from December 5th, the Indian Women’s Team will play a 3-match ODI series against Australia. They will wear the old jersey for this series, as the new jersey will make its debut in the West Indies series.
As for the Indian Men’s Team, they will be seen donning the new ODI jersey next year, when they take the field in their ODI series against England, scheduled for February. It is also expected that India will wear this same jersey during the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.
India’s T20I and Test jerseys have not changed. Adidas became India’s new kit sponsor in May 2023, and in June 2023, they launched new jerseys for all three formats. Following this, before the 2024 T20 World Cup, a new T20I jersey was unveiled, featuring saffron sleeves. India has continued to wear this same jersey for the T20I format.
