Ben Stokes Abused Fan
Ben Stokes’ involvement in spats with opponents is not new to the cricket world. Even, he was involved in an on-field argument with his teammate Stuart Broad during the ongoing test series against South Africa. Amid the 4th South Africa vs England test match, the all-rounder once again facing criticism for exchanging insults with a fan.
On his way to pavilion after being dismissed for 2, Stokes can be seen reacting to a fan on live TV. According to the television footage, Stokes appeared saying, “Come say that to me outside the ground, you f***ing four-eyed c,”

Stokes Apologised On Twitter
Stokes later apologised for his foul-mouthed response to the abuse of the spectator. He apologised through a Tweet.
“I wish to apologise for my language that was heard on the live broadcast today after my dismissal. I should not have reacted in that way. As I was leaving the playing area, I was subjected to repeated abuse from the crowd.”
“I admit that my reaction was unprofessional, and I sincerely apologise for the language I used, especially to the many young fans watching the live telecast around the world.
“Throughout the Tests so far, the support from both sets of fans (England and South Africa) has been brilliant. One incident will not ruin such a competitive series, which we are determined to win.”

Ashley Gills, the managing director of England team told that the spectators also abused England team staff. He also offered his sympathy to Ben Stokes as he said that the all-rounder is fully aware that he should not have reacted in the way that he did and apologises for his actions. However, Stokes could face fine and 1 demerit points for his actions if the match Referee decides to charge him.
