The excitement of the fans is at its peak as they await the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. The 15th season of the league is going to be even more entertaining and thrilling as it will see Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans making their debut in the league.
The stage is all set for nail-biting finishes, however there is a big blow for Gujarat Titans as Jason Roy has pulled out of the 2022 edition of the cash-rich league.
Gujarat Titans’ Jason Roy pulls out due to bio-bubble fatigue
The English player was recently seen in action in the Pakistan Super League and was in a scintillating form. Jason Roy is known for his explosive batting and his last moment exit from the IPL 2022 could prove to be quite a big blow for Gujarat Titans who will be looking to make a mark in their debut season. If reports are to be believed, Roy has pulled out of the league due to Bio-Bubble fatigue.
Considering his recent form in the Pakistan Super League, Gujarat Titans would have loved to have Roy in their Playing XI. The right-handed batsman scored 303 runs in the 6 innings he played and his average was a whopping 50.50 which also consisted of a century and 2 half-centuries. Jason Roy could have proven to be a great asset for the new franchise; however, his exit is a big blow for Gujarat Titans who bought the player for INR 2 crore.

For the unversed, this is not the first time though when Roy has pulled out of the tournament. The English cricketer had pulled out of the tournament in the 2020 edition as well after he was bought by the Delhi Capitals for INR 1.5 crore. The 2022 edition of the IPL is going to commence from 26th March and will take place in the state of Maharashtra only due to COVID protocols.
