The solo Test match between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh turned out to be a one-sided affair as Bangladesh attained a victory with ease against struggling Zimbabwe. Bangladesh batsmen struggled initially, however, Mahmudullah and Liton Das put up a brilliant partnership that revived the first inning of the Bangladesh team. Apart from their batting, the heated rivalry between Blessing Muzarabani and Taskin Ahmed stole the limelight as well.
It all started on Day 2 of the Test match when Taskin Ahmed frustrated the Zimbabwe bowlers with his gritty inning of 75. The no.10 batsman stood his ground and helped his team go past 400. An interesting moment came in the match when Blessing Muzarabani was bowling to Taskin Ahmed in the 85th over. Muzarabani bowled a short delivery which Taskin Ahmed was able to leave successfully.
Blessing Muzarabani showcases his dancing skills
Everything was fine until Ahmed did a little dance move after leaving the ball victoriously. This irked Blessing Muzarabani to an extent that he got into Taskin Ahmed’s face and both shared aggressive looks. Zimbabwe struggled in their second inning as well just like they did in the first one. They could only manage to score 276 in reply to Bangladesh’s 468. The uphill task of saving the match proved too difficult for the team as they collapsed on only 256 in the second inning.
However, the highlight of Zimbabwe’s second innings was Blessing Muzarabani dance moves after hitting Taskin Ahmed for a cracking boundary. It was definitely an amusing sight for the fans.
