Cricket marks its return to Asian Games 2022
It was being claimed that Cricket is returning to Asian Games after a gap of 11 long years, however it’s not true. The sport was first played in Asian Games in the 2010 edition, which were also organized in China.
Later on, cricket was also played in 2014 edition of Asian Games which were held in Incheon, South Korea. The 2018 edition of the Asian Games didn’t have cricket and now finally the sport is making a comeback in Asian Games 2022 in China, where it was first introduced.
This is going to be third time Cricket will be played in the Asian Games. Besides cricket making a return, E-sports and breakdancing will mark their debuts in the Asian Games 2022. India has been a consistent participant in the Games and is one of the top performers in the history of the Asian Games. The Indian athletes will once again try and replicate the magic that they have always created in the Asian Games.
