Team India is set to play a three-match ODI series against Bangladesh beginning on December 4 in the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. India’s pacer Deepak Chahar who was traveling to Bangladesh from New Zealand has revealed that he had a terrible experience travelling with Malaysia Airlines.
Deepak Chahar goes through ‘worse experience’ before Bangladesh ODIs
India’s pacer Deepak Chahar was a part of the Indian squad against New Zealand and was travelling to Dhaka from Christchurch via Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur, Rishabh Pant, and Washington Sundar were the other players flying along with him from New Zealand while other senior players who were rested for the New Zealand series travelled from India.
Chahar, not at all, had a pleasant experience while flying with Malaysia Airlines. The young Indian pacer complained that his flight was changed without prior notice and he was not offered any food despite being in business class. He also revealed that he is still waiting for his luggage with less than 24 hours to go for the match on Sunday in Dhaka.
Deepak Chahar took to Twitter on Saturday morning before the team’s training session and wrote, “Had a worse experience travelling with Malaysia airlines @MAS .first they changed our flight without telling us and no food in Business class. Now we have been waiting for our luggage from last 24 hours. Imagine we have a game to play tomorrow.”

Malaysia Airlines understood the seriousness of the situation and quickly responded as they sent him a complaint link on Twitter. However, Chahar replied that the link is not working to which the Malaysian airlines replied, “May be unavoidable due to operational, weather-related, and technical reasons. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”

Team India is in Bangladesh for a crucial three-match ODI series as the ODI World Cup scheduled in October-November next year is not too far. Bangladesh have always been a tough competitor to beat especially in the subcontinent conditions. The Indian team will also play a two-match test series against Bangladesh after this ODI series beginning on December 14.
