The 10th edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) begins on August 31, Wednesday. The defending champions St Kitts & Nevis Patriots will be taking on Jamaica Tallawahs in the opening match of the tournament at Warner Park, St Kitts. Four venues across the Caribbean, namely- St Kitts, St Lucia, Trinidad, and Guyana will be hosting the CPL 2022. The Final of the tournament will be played on the 30th of September. Talking about the format of the tournament, from this year the CPL will be adopting the playoff format of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Hence, now the top four teams after the end of the league stage will be playing 2 qualifiers and an eliminator match among themselves to decide the two finalists. In the league stage, each team will be facing the other five teams twice.
Unlike last year, the CPL will be going from venue to venue in stages across 31 days. In the initial stage, 7 matches will be held at St Kitt’s from September 1st to 5th. The CPL will then move on to St. Lucia where the next eight matches will be played from September 7th to September 12. Trinidad will then take over from September 14 to 19 and will as well host 8 matches. Lastly, Guyana will be hosting the remaining 11 matches including the Playoffs and the Final from the 21st of September to the 30th.
CPL 2022 Live Telecast in India
The Star Sports network will provide the Live telecast of CPL 2022 in India. The Live telecast of the tournament will be available on the Star Sports 2 TV channel of the network.
Live streaming details
