The BCCI have announced the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 schedule as per which Team India will begin their campaign against Australia in Chennai on October 8. The Men in Blue will contest against New Zealand in Dharamsala while the much-awaited game against Pakistan will be played in Ahmedabad on October 15.

The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 will begin with the defending champions England taking on New Zealand in Ahmedabad on October 5. The final of the marquee tournament will also be played at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19.

India will host the event for the first time since 2011. The Indian Team have their group matches in 9 venues – Ahmedabad, Chennai, Delhi, Pune, Dharamsala, Lucknow, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bengaluru.

A total of 10 teams will participate in the ODI World Cup 2023. 8 teams have been confirmed, while the remaining two will make it from the World Cup 2023 qualifiers, which is currently being played in Zimbabwe.

The league stage of the tournament will be played in a round-robin format amongst the 10 participating teams. This will be followed by the semifinals on November 15 and 16 in Mumbai and Kolkata respectively.
