The Sunrisers Hyderabad fans were in for a shock before the 28th match of the Indian Premier League. David Warner, who carried the team on his shoulders for 4 seasons as the skipper was sacked by the team management and Kane Williamson was allocated the responsibility to take the team forward. SRH has had a dismal season so far which led to the change, but fans were shocked to witness this huge shuffle.
The Hyderabad setup has always been known for their brilliant bowling, however this season their bowlers have taken a beating from every team they have played so far. Whether it’s chasing a total or defending it, the team has been unsuccessful on all fronts. Their key players haven’t been able to perform to their potential and as a result, they are in the last position on the points table.
After 5 losses in 6 games, the SRH team management decided to make major changes as they removed David Warner from captaincy and Williamson was appointed as the new captain. The management would have hoped to see a change in their fortune after the shuffle, however, the decision didn’t prove to be fruitful as they lost their 7th game as well against Rajasthan Royals.
David Warner carries drinks for his team
David Warner was seen carrying drinks for his team and did his best to support his camp in any which way he could. He was seen fake fighting for serving the drinks to his teammates and that made up for quite a fun moment. The fans were disheartened to see David Warner as the drinks boy and felt bad for the seasoned campaigner who has been the most consistent batsman for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

It would be interesting to see how Williamson marches his troops in the second-leg of the tournament. After 7 matches they have played, SRH has lost 6 of them and only has 2 points to show on the points table which makes them the most unsuccessful team of the 14th edition of IPL so far. They will be up against the in-form Mumbai Indians on 04th May.
