New Zealand cricket board is currently hosting 3 matches ODI series between Australian women and New Zealand women. Earlier, in the T20 series, the series decider match washed out due to rain and hence Ausw vs Nzw series ended up in a tie with a 1-1 win. But now after winning the first 2 ODI matches of the Aus women vs Nz women ODI series, Australia already wins the series by 2-0 with one game remaining. Meanwhile, during the second ODI, Australian fielder Ellyse Perry puts her 100% effort to save a six.
It all happened in the 37th over of the 2nd ODI when kiwis Maddy Green was facing spinner, Georgia Wareham. The New Zealand team was already struggling as they had lost five wickets for 166 runs and still needed to score 100+ runs to win the match. Meanwhile, Australian fielder Ellyse Perry’s six saving effort worked as an energy booster for the bowler.
On the fourth ball of the 37th over, Maddy Green tries hard to hit the ball out of the boundary, however, Perry’s effort was enough to save the six and hence Kiwis gets only 2 runs instead of a six.
The video of the incident is getting viral over the internet. Here below attaching the video of the same.
